About

Rare classics, mint historics, barn finds needing restoration and needles in the haystack…

Inspired by the USA website www.bringatrailer.com we started Retro-Spective because there are so many great classic cars for sale on the Internet that the problem isn't finding a car, it's the hassle of finding it amongst the thousands of not so great classics cars online. We know we don't have the time or the money to buy these all for ourselves, so we decided the next best thing was to share our finds with others.

Rather than spend hours sifting through abandoned projects or overpriced dealer stock lists to find the car you’re searching, we aim to feature some of the best around and save you the trouble… the best bargains, the best dream cars, and the best rarities.

We especially like regularly driven real-world classics – cars with well chosen period-correct modifications and sometimes cars tastefully modified or with a twist. We generally avoid the blue chip restorations and garage queens unless they offer something different in aesthetics or rarity. We also tend to feature cars at the lower to mid range of most people's budgets – cars you can see advertised and go out and buy straight away, not something you need to save up for years for.

If you spot a car that you think is worth featuring, send it to us for review at
mail@retro-spective.co.uk. Comments on what you like or would change about each car can be made directly on each feature.

Please share what you think!

And feel free to email us with any comments or suggestions for our site.
